2019-2020 Concert Series

The Fremont County Community Concert Association is very excited to announce its 2019-2020 Concert Series, bringing an exciting series of concerts for your enjoyment.  Again, we are bringing internationally known artists to Fremont County.

Our opener for the 2019-2020 Concert Series will be the September presentation by HARPS & CHORDS, an emerging new duo form New York City. Harpist Jacqueline Kerrod and Vocalist Daisy Press are featured. We will hear contemporary and popular music from various decades. They have crfeated a strong following for their intimate yet energetic performances. Perhaps we in Fremont County will join that following as their musical magic begins when the styling of Daisy's tenor guitar fuses with Jacqueline's evocative strings to create an unique and intimate mood that commands attention.

Next in the 2019-2020 Concert Series we will enjoy the APRIL VERCH BAND. While April Verch is perhaps best known for playing traditional fiddle styles from here native Ottawa Valley, Canada, her performances extend into old-time American and Appalachian styles and beyond, for a well-rounded tour-de-force of North Americana sounds. Along with Cody Walters (bass, banjo) and Alex Rubin (guitar, mandolin), Verch tours as a trio with her vocals, fiddle and foot percussion.

Joining us in February 2020, will be AFTER MIDNIGHT. Award winning clarinetist Roger Campbell leads the hottest jazz band since the Swing Era! Colorado's Premier Swing Band is the only sextet featured in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame at Red Rocks! Swinging hard-since 1997, this extraordinary group of musicians has performed hundreds of concerts around the country. Their infectious music is guaranteed to get you dancing, swinging and smiling!

DOUBLE DOUBLE DUO will join us in March 2020./ They are about much more than coffee, each duo member is a 'double threat' on two instruments: Kornel Wolak (clarinet/piano) and Michael Bridge (accordions/piano). Classically trained international soloist, they use comedy, virtuosity and musical sensitivity to bring their broad repertoire to life. "Double Double Duo" is the best of new, young "classical" musicians... bringing they own-style of intellect, expertise and talent to a new 21st century audience.

Our 2019-2029 Concert Series will end with BALL IN THE HOUSE, a R&B/soul/pop a cappella group based out of Boston, MA. With their extensive tour schedule (approximately 230 shows a year), Ball in the House has performed all over the country! They have performed with such artists as The Beach Boys, Fantasia, the Jones Brothers, Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie, Jessica Simpson, Blondie, the Temptations, Smokey Robinson, KC & The Sunshine Band and numerous others.

Enjoy this exciting season by either renewing your membership or by becoming a new member of the Fremont County Community Concert Association for the 2019-2020 Concert Series.  Encourage your friends and neighbors to also enjoy these exciting performers.
